Le Taiji Quan des anciens maîtres
Book in French — English title: The Taiji Quan of the Ancient Masters
While Taiji Quan (Taichi Chuan) is practised throughout the world for its benefits in maintaining good health, the fact that it is also, and above all, a martial art is less well known.
In truth, in Taiji Quan, martial techniques (Wushu) and the pursuit of mastery of internal energy (Nei Gong) are intimately linked. Its Taoist-inspired movements, based on the principle of Yin-Yang, are defensive techniques which, by improving the circulation of Qi (vital energy), help to preserve health.
By setting out, for the first time in France, the original methods and techniques of the ancestral Taiji Quan of Zhaobao (17th century), this book sheds new light on this marvellous discipline.
